Hi - I’m Bill Carter, Founder of Student-Athlete Insights

25 Years in the Sports Industry
Our industry is drowning with NIL consultants in name only - with no relevant experience and seeking to exploit a nascent marketplace. I’ve done “NIL” (aka athlete marketing) in professional sports for 25 years and founded one of the most successful sports agencies - Fuse - helping clients like Gatorade, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and PUMA partner with high profile pro athletes.

Higher Education Teaching Experience
Unfortunately, most NIL educators do not have any teaching experience. I have been teaching in higher education for decades. Currently, I teach NIL courses at the University of Vermont and Boston College.

Proprietary Insights from the NIL Research Poll
I don’t blindly advocate for all things NIL. I study and follow the facts. I rely on informed opinion, not emotion. My insights are drawn from my NIL Research Poll, a monthly survey of 5,000 college student-athletes and 1,000 high school prospects.
